Advent of AI in Enterprises
On May 11th, 2023, I attended a product announcement event by one of the leading AI startup in Bay Area - Moveworks. Overall I loved the event and upcoming product announcements. My current company has been a customer of Moveworks for 5+ years and I was amazed by the innovations this company continues to bring to the enterprises in areas that is often overlooked - Employee Experience and Delight.
Moveworks announced its new Large Language Model named MoveLM, with an ability to tune up to 175 billion parameters, that is designed specifically for enterprises. This is very unique compared to other LLMs coming in market as this model is tuned based on millions of tickets, millions of bot conversations, and hundred thousands of knowledge articles from enterprises. More importantly, this model works alongside other LLMs like Mpnet and GPT-4 in Moveworks platform to provide the true power of conversational and generative AI in enterprises.
Moveworks also talked about how enterprises can create an AI strategy based on their objectives - ranging from single-step simple problems to domain specific (single-step or multi-step) to enterprise wide business problems. The complexity, commitment and cost increases significantly as you move to solving enterprise wide problems. And that's where AI platforms can provide immediate benefits rather than enterprises investing millions of dollars to solve those problems by themselves.
With the launch of Creator Studio, Moveworks is now aiming to give power of conversational AI in the hands of developers. With an easy to use no-code platform and basic knowledge of APIs, developers can now solve the business problems using conversational AI. The business problem can range from accessing an information from a database to proactively sending message to users to solving domain specific problems requiring multi-step orchestration. The real power comes with Moveworks platform utilizing multiple LLMs transparently to produce a generative intent. This enables developers to focus on solving business problem without having to worry about which LLMs to use.
Enhancing the user experience with voice support was the best demo. The voice conversation between a user and bot was so smooth and clear that it didn't look like a user is talking with a bot. This can really be a game changer for organizations where majority of the calls are coming over phone.
With Knowledge Writer, Moveworks announced a powerful tool to generate contents based on existing tickets, knowledge base. This is similar to OpenAI’s chatgpt but customized for enterprises based on their data. I believe this is a very unique solution that most enterprises need now because of vast amount of content sprawl.
Looking forward to using these features in the coming months as they become generally available to customers.
